Worth the few bucks to me. This Forum really helped me make an informed decision about my car, and continues to be an invaluable source of information

Totally agree. It's real simple. If I never logged on again I'm up a couple of grand, and a book full of knowledge....not to mention the fun I have here. This is Troy's business. He can make the rules. As a business owner myself with over 60 employees I understand his desire to provide us the best product he can, and make as much money as he needs to. That's the American way. Ain't nothin' wrong with it.

I do have one other IMPORTANT thought. As the owners of 50, to 60K + automobiles we should feel the need to be generous to St. Judes too. They need everyone's help. I made my own contribution, and then took up a collection in my office and doubled what my employees donated. I don't say this for a pat on the back, just an idea to help raise $.

I'm mailing my check tomorrow. The forum has been invaluable to me. Slightly smaller stars would be OK with me.

I have already purchased 1500 dollars with of goodies from forum vendors. I have much more to spend with our vendors when the stuff I want starts getting made. As you guys know a lot of the C6 stuff isnt out yet. That is also support. I literaly risked my life for every penny I ever made and there is no easy come easy go in my bank account. Since I see no danger of the forum going under and have no interest in any of the "extra features" that makes it less compelling for me. At any rate I am on the fence on this one.

I will probably donate to the cause, but I would prefer not to have any big stars. Also they need to take credit cards. I may be able to use my banks electronic payment feature.

I don't care for the big star either. You can pay with credit card through paypal.

I let my PayPal account expire, I was hearing too many bad things about it.

I will also probably donate but I feel the small star system should remain with just a sentence below indicating the new supporting membership status. The big stars are just too much plus I like the seniority system of the smaller stars.

This forum has been outstanding!

I only did a short term membership because this is the first American car I've owned for many years and may not be around for a "Lifetime" commitment. I'm not a Corvette diehard and if the vehicle doesn't hold up, it's going bye-bye. On the other hand, I always welcome a new obsession and may upgrade to diehard status sometime in the near future.

If you don't want to pay for it, I don't care. In my mind, it's a quality product and I never mind paying for quality.

As for the stars, they need some serious work. I feel a bit like this with those damn stars next to my Avitar:

O.K. I just got home from dinner (and drinks) with some friends and the star thing is bugging me. The small member stars should be put back and the contributing stars need to be toned down. I'll check again in the morning when the drinks wear off to see if I feel the same way.

I am considering it.....but maybe I am younger than the average user here.........but lifetime membership to me means a lifetime.....not 30 years. I intend on out living my "lifetime membership". So, at age 64 will I have to dip into my retirement funds again to become a lifetime member?

AND........then do it all over again at 94?

Ok, maybe at 124 I'm pushing it........but I have faith in technology and science .

So, is lifetime really a lifetime membership or every 30 years will I have to renew my membership as implied by the ordering info?

I will ante up as well. I've gotten a lot of great info from the forum, and enjoy the banter. I do agree however that the stars are way to large..... downright gaudy in fact. Bring them down to the same size as the membership stars and leave it at that...

BTW, I also like the idea of paid membership, some nominal fee... It might just take care of the problem of overworked servers and trolls ...

Hi. Heat soak guy here. I'll contribute too. The thought of not having a place to belong to is...frightening.
