Awesome. If done right this is the future. 6-speed auto paddle shifting. I know i'll get flamed but this is the start of the end of the auto vs. manual debates. As the purists grow older all of us youngins will be wanting paddle shifting and thats the way most everything will come.

Lets hope they can get a decent response out of it though. If you have tested a F1 360 it just plain kicks ****. If chevy can get 1/2 of that feel it will be awesome

OK, that wheel is asymmetrical, bigger on the left. I don't care for it, looks cheap, even more rental than the Malibu Doughboy.

This is just a slushbox with a paddle shifter. It bears no relation to the transmission in the Ferrari other than you can change gears with a paddle on the wheel. Its a great deal if you want an auto and Im not knocking it but it is not the begining of the end of anything. When they offer a real SMG then your talking about a different animal.

Thats what i was afriad of...................

Well someday we will get with the 21st century. So basically you are telling me this is not much different from rowing the gears on an auto from the center console??

I knew it was too good to be true

I might choke up the sub par looks of the C6 to take advantage of that....GM may actually do something right.

It was never touted as an F1.

The paddles are gimmicky but cool.

The real news is the A6.

Does anyone think that this will make a lot of people hold off for a 2006 model?

That's all that it is is an auto and instead of bumping the stick (auto stick) you push a button... Big deal...

Rowing gears on an auto....

And the buttons on the Pontiac looks better...

Give me a real manual and three pedals....

I agree, but for auto buffs, being able to keep your hands on the wheel while shifting, and not having to worry about sliding the stick shifter into the wrong gear, is a very good thing.
