I've got the NAV and XM setup. Under sound, there are equalizer settings for EQ1 though EQ7. Set for Jazz, Rock, talk, whatever, Question, which is which? Didn't see a run down in the manual. Anyone have an answer for this?
I don't know if they are labled anything but choice 1-6.
The nice thing about the system, however, is that you can EQ each channel differently along with a different setting for the CD and FM channels. This helps a lot since the sound quality and volume vary so much between the 3 sources.
The non-Nav instructions in the regular owner's manual (pg 3-79) are not much better. I think you have to try each equalization setting for the type of music you're listening to. In other words, I don't think there's a particular equalization for a particular kind of music already set up.
The Nav manual refers to these settings as Auto Tone Control, whereas the owners manual for non-Nav refer to it as Automatic Equalization, using the AUTO EQ button. Also, the Nav has EQ1 through EQ6, while the non-Nav has EQ1 through EQ7.
Don't have my manual handy now nor the PDF manual, I got it out of the PDF manual under the audio section. I can quote later and give page number later. sorry
