I noticed that when I start my car it takes a while before the outside temperature gauge changes to the actual temp. Sometimes 5-10 mins. Anyone else have this problem?

dude, how big is your garage ? it takes you 10 minutes to back out ??
i have also noticed this but wouldn't say it takes that long. the other day it was 70 something but the temp read 55 (at startup), a few minutes later it read correctly.

This is normal. The sensor is behind the front bumper I think, so it may take it a few minutes of driving to get adjusted to the actual outside temperature.
There is something in the manual about this. It takes X amount of time at X speed before the temp. will change. This is for accuracy, otherwise engine heat will effect the reading.
