TP: That's tough...I think I'd buy the silver with the bright wheels. It looks like a jet fighter. Reminds me of that F/A-22. I like the Cobalt Red and I'm anxious to see a black one all tricked-out, because I've not seen black on a car, yet, but if I were to buy one today; it'd probably be silver, bright wheels and the Z51 suspension.
I thought I wanted the blue with black interior, but wound up with machine silver and grey, I'm more than a little pleased. I think it ties the silver and black dash, which everyone is "stuck" with together nicely. Plus I have the polished wheels, they look good too. A darker color, I'd be out shopping for chrome. With the money I'm saving, I can get.. HEADERS..
Also, went to a show Sat. won best in show and even better, they had the kids vote on the "coolest" lookin Vette, the silver bullet won that one too.

For me, shows the lines the best... lower maint color, doesnt show swirls or light scratches... doesnt show dirt much at all.... goes with all all the interior colors... especially RED... is a color you can accessorize with too... my thoughts...

I stand corrected, too It was Tom Peters, not Dave Hill. At least my memory was correct about what was said :o
I currently have three silver cars and one silver motorcycle - but I never expected to have a Silver Corvette. My first three "orders" for my C6 were Red, Lemans Blue, then Black (I had it on order for nine months - including the waiting list before the C6 was even introduced). But when I saw a silver one in person it was a done deal. I've had it six months now, and have no regrets at all.
The other day when I was in town,I caught a flash of red out of the corner of my eye.I turned around to see a silver C5-Z06,with factory painted wheels. The car was so understated, had it not been for the red calipers,I may of not even noticed it threading through traffic. It looked like a shark looking for something tasty to eat.The C6 seems to have many styling cues from the '63-'67 cars, and silver was always my favorite in that series. Some of the reasons I bought a silver C6 with red interior(excitement on the inside!).
I dirve a 97 Silver Camaro with black T-Tops and black side view mirrors and lets not forget the black leather interior and black rear fascia decals that are light reflective. I would never own a non silver car (Chevy for that matter).
dirt doesnt show up as easily and the fade in paint is harder to detect over time.
i think the c6 looks great in all colors (a first for me anyway)
silver on a vette would not be my 1st choice, i still think it looks great and would have no problem with that.
i do like the fact one does not have to spend as much cleaning as driving. (i own 2 black cars). if your c6 is a daily driver silver would be close to the ideal color choice..

That is why I chose Silver. I wanted a Red interior but took delivery from dealer inventory.
I have added red/black seat covers from pfyc.com, one of our sponsoring vendors.
I 'd go with silver or DSMO. I had a pewter 2000 C5 and loved it. I have a DSMO C6 vert now and struggled over ordering it or a silver. The silver shows the body lines best of all colors!
