don't bother with the $60 for a year.
If you really like xm, like I do, get a better deal -- just go to their web site and pay $500 for 5 years. Do the math.
If you renew for $60 this year, but then have to pay $13 / month for the next 4 years, you've spent $684 altogether.
If you just pay for the 5 years now, that's only $500. That's because if you order now, you can lock that price in for 5 years.
Depends on whether you're convinced you'll still have the Vette and you'll still like XM in 5 years. I'm sold.
But what if the Earth as we know it is destroyed after 2 years? You'll never get that money back.

What if I can still get the $500 for 5 years this time next year? Then I would have paid $460 for the 1st 5 years.
How many are going to keep their vette for 5 years? Is it transferrable, or do you know?
From: Austin, Texas Codes 660, 9448, and 295660 work in the C6 navigation unit. No DVD playback yet.
$60 deal seems to be dead, but I just got the $77 promo. Took two phone calls, and I don't know exactly what I did to make it work. I just said that I was looking to extend, and some of my friends had recently gotten the $60/year deal, and that's what I wanted. She said she couldn't do it, but said she could give me a year at $77. She did ask if I had a promotion code when I first mentioned I wanted to extend my service, but never asked for it.
XM doesn't make sense to me at $15/month, but at $77/year (~$6.50/month), I'm happy.
That man on the moon was a long time ago.....what have you done lately..? I did not order the XM because of two things..Did not want any recurring bills ( insurance an exception) and I did not want the "wart"...Choose a decent cd (I did get the Nav. system just to be a little up-to-date)...
So why join in on the discussion of pricing with people who think it is worth it and enjoy it???

I agree, it isn't worth $15 a month. I don't know what I'm going to do this time next year when I have to renew again. I almost didn't renew this time, but the promo deal pushed me over the edge.
Try for the $60.00 before even mentioned the $77. But you need to do it before your trial period ends. Tell them that you are a new subscriber and that you just purchased your car and have never had XM in the past.
If that doesn't work, then go for the $77. It doesn't hurt to try.
I received a message on my recorder from XM telling me about the special $77.00 promo. I just called and said that I received their phone message and gave them my radio xm ID # and all was taken care of. I had let my service expire about a month ago so I could get the special promo.
I just spoke to XM Radio and they told me I can have the $60 extention--but only when my free 3-month trial is over. They wouldn't take my money now. So I have to call back July 21.
BTW, I already have XM in my Cadillac CTS-V. In the 13 months I've had it, I've really learned to like it. I got a 2-year deal for about $8 month when my 3-month period was up (that was when XM was $9.95 month).
I agree with you and did the same thing...not to mention, if you do sign up for the long term price breaks, if you do sell the car after 2 years (or however long) they will send you a pro-rated refund on the service. Can't go wrong!
