Cracked windshield
Rats, had an oncoming truck toss a rock into my windshild and shattered an area about the size of a quarter. Now the crack is running across the glass and is about a 12" long and growing every day. This happened on April 30th. I was told a couple of days for the glass, then it would be a week and now I'm told by the end of June. This is just great. 
Oh well... it's only my daily driver and I was planning on taking it from AR to NM by the end of June.
OK, I'm done venting now.

I have the HUD and OnStar, part of the problem in getting a new windshield. I'm not going to be amused if I have to leave this car at home when I take my June trip out west. Dealer said they are doing everything they can to include contacting other dealers that show this item in their inventory. Maybe I'll get lucky, I hope.

Sorry to hear about your windshield Nueboch.
Is it just mine and yours or do all C6s windshields attract flying road debris?
Mine has been hit at least 4 times in the past week!! I thought for sure it would shatter.

I was on a Vette cruise, about 15 Vettes, I got hammered.. 
So far, I have a good record with new cars, first three months, I lose a windshield then all is well for the next two or three years..
First time I've been told it would take 8 or more weeks for a new one though..

sorry to hear your problem. I've caught to rocks in the windshield n less than two weeks!! Luckily, I have had no spiderwebbing or cracking, just a couple minor dings.

There must be a lot of this going around...After 2 weeks of driving (3 months ago), a rock cracked my windshield...The glass company couldn't get a replacement for about 2 weeks, but it's like new now. The bill was over $1000...Thanks to the AAA, it cost me $100. Hope you have good comprehensive insurance.

Sympathy for all who have had nasty rock chips. I got one too, and I was in a bad mood for days. Brought it in quick to have it drilled and filled so the crack didn't spread. It's just left of the rear view mirror, not in my normal view. So I get to live with a 3/8" flaw but I save a few bucks over buying new glass. Which is harder to live with?

I had a chip on my C5 right in the center but down low. Couldn't be fixed, but didn't spread either. Got hit again in the same exact spot! But the 2nd time it was fixable and nearly disappeared!
