A lot They were $49.00 for the front and the same for the back They were $49.00 for both front and back on my C5, however, the C5 set came with the flag for the right side of the emblem only. The C6 set comes with the flags for both sides of the emblem. As you can see I didn't do the left side of the emblem because I like the checkerd flag insert. If anyone wants to see it with the flags on both sides, let me know. I'll stick it on and take a pic
Can you help me understand if this is an overlay to the existing one or do you physically remove the old one and place this? If you remove it, was it difficult? Thx
I had read somewhere that Chevrolet originally wanted to use a checkerd flag and an American flag on their Corvette emblems when they first designed them in the fifties but there was (or is) some kind of federal law preventing them from using an American flag.
I think I read this at the Corvette museum years ago. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Fiction and Fact from the Corvette story. The original car back in 53' was to have two crossed American Flags until GM was told they could not do this with the US Flag. So, I believe the current design came from another GM car of the day.....
Neat mod, been around for a while though. Glad they are available for the C6.
The set I bought from WCC included both inserts. I didn't like the checkered flag insert that came with the flag so I kept the OEM checkered flag. I paid $49 for 2 sets (front/rear).

They are ment to overlay on the stock ones. On the one in the front, I removed the stock one then realized I would have to trim the new one down a bit. The back on I just stuck on over the existing insert.
That's funny, I've been in the Drivers Seat twice this week and didn't even notice them! Next time you're in Boca, shoot us all a line down here.
I sure will...I went to the cruise night the past 2 Fridays at the Tower shops in Ft. Lauderdale and met some forum members there.
And you do the same if you ever get up to Long Island
