Is a corvette looking more and more like the Ferrari?
c5 took the side of the F355
c6 toof the side of the 465gt and now front end of the 360
I am happy with this trend, Or is it all my imagination?

definitely noticed that the haed lights look similar to astin and other Euros. If you look at the side profile of the C6 though, it more closely resembles the swooping curves of many of the C3s. For those who think C6 looks like a viper, they need to realize that a Viper looks more like a vette....which came first? hmmmmmm Same goes for Ferrari, which had those curves and unique shape first? Vette.

Although, looking like a Ferrari isn't necessarily a bad thing!

The only similarity I see with a C6 and Viper is if you look head on. As far as the others go, I think computers design a lot of the characteristics to do with wind flow and resistance. If so, it would seem that all cars should look identical if it were not for the human design touch. It probably make sense that each characteristic brought in from the human side costs the car in effeciency. I think that there is no effort to copy a design but the design paths all head in the same direction. MHO.

This morning at sunrise I got a flash from an oncoming car and it was so sleek and damn exotic looking in the limited light. It was a mag red c6. He recognized me and but until it was too late too return the flash I was thinking high end Euro all the way. A belated .

Very definitely. That was the first thing I noticed with the new car - the front looked like a 360.

The vast majority of sports cars have a similar basic shape based on aerodynamics.

But, the C6 looks like a C6 corvette, not a Ferrari, not a Viper, not an anything else..., but a vette...

No Viper has ever looked like any style of corvette befor the viper came out..So there fore who cares if the corvette came out first because now and only the C6 looks like the viper..Not that it really matters but yes the vette now is looking like the others.

Jaguar F type

Aston Martin Vantage

Maserati

Ferrari

The top 3 might be triplets, but the bottom is all Ferrari.

And. quite frankly, I don't see any Corvette influence on any of 'em.

I do see a silhouette similarity between the Modena and the C6, but the Modena pre-dates the C6.

(BTW, where's the chrome?)

According to Phil Berg's book on the C6, an Italian design shop and GM's UK auto architecture folks participated with the US Corvette team in fine tuning the C6 "look". I suppose this was done in an effort to enhance the car's appeal to the European market without losing the classic Corvette "bred in the USA" core. Thus, it is not surprising that people see things in our American beauty that may remind them of other "exotic" machines.

Damnt he 360 is a fine looking car.

The F50 is my all time favorite design then the 360. I don't care for the 430 i saw it at the auto show and sill like the 360 better.

I wish the corvette would copy the Ferrari a little more. They do make the most beautiful cars bar none.

I am the opposite, I think the 430 is by far superior over the 360...I am not to fond of the 360 anymore. ITs like comparing the C5 to the C6...THe C6 is hands down better looking

Thats funny cause i think the exact opposite. I love the C6 vert but the C5 and C6 coupe i'll take a C5 all day i think the coupe is ugly.

Perhaps i will like the 430 Spyder better than the 360 spyder. Time will tell. I was in the 430 and the inside absolutely is awesome but fromt he outside the 360 is nicer. The 430 is like trying to be the poor mans enzo (poor being very relative). Yeah the 360 had some F50 in it but the F50 is awesome and the Enzo well, it's a awesome car but it's looks are very debateable.

Not surprised by the first two since they are owned by Ford

The fact is..yes GM is copying the Ferrari (a Great thing). The design team has stated such. I will also confess that is the reason I got my Vette. I could not afford the Ferrari and it does have Ferrari design in it with power to boot..
