I've got a corvette c6-z51 performance package and they have brought me the car with
6 cd changer, instead of the navigation, as my dealer insisted the company to fix the navigation
would it be advisable to fix the navigation in the dealer , is it worth it or not ,, or there is a lot of complications in the future
If you are spending that much money....get what you want! Make them find you one that has what you ordered........ it is not easy, and maybe impossible to swap the radios.

My understanding is that all this swapping stuff is not easy.
Make sure you get what you want. I love my navigation system. Its a big deal to me. Good luck. Let us know how this was resolved.
If you want Nav - make them get you a car with NAV - don't have them put it in - it probably will mess the works up and you car as built will always show no-NAV and someone will know it was operated on, etc. Even IF dealer did it what would warranty effect be at other dealers etc.
If dealer wants to fix locally probably means they screwed up.
If you don't really want that bad, cry and make noise and see if they will give you big$$$ for the mistake.
There was an earlier thread where the dealer did exactly the same thing. When the buyer tried to get the Nav installed she was told by GM that it could not be done as the wiring harnesses are different. The only alternative was an aftermarket system.
well they said the production line is closed and ,
they check the reagion for a car with my spec's by with no luck and they took out another car that has a navigation and they have tested it on my car , and they said it work perfectly . everything is there , but the head unit needs to be fix and they told me GM , the company which made up my car made a mistake and they admit it
I was just at the plant Wed. They were running 140 vettes off the line that day.....including mine with a NAV system. It sounds like your dealership is trying to cover up something it made and has now stepped in. Check out gmbuypower.com to see if you can find one or there is another link on here on locating cars anywhere in the US!!! I don't think the plant messes the orders up......they are high tech! Computers don't make mistakes, it is the people entering the order data!

I found out the hard way that I'm not getting a power top. I was on the line and noticed that the sticker price was a little on the light side. They called in the engineer (a great looking female) who told me that the power top could not be added and that it was due to the wiring harness. She said that every car has a specific wiring harness based on the car's options. Sucks for me but I've heard sequencing problems with the top anyway. Oh well.

Your dealer is giving you such a line of Don't believe it.
They will be building 2005 cars until September 8th. The line is not closed. Maybe your dealer doesn't have another allocation for a 2005, that is possible. Almost 100% of the time it is the dealer who screws up, not GM.
They didn't take a Navigation unit out of another car to try it in yours. The Navigation has an antenna on the windshield behind the mirror. It would be impossible to test it in your car.
