I am a bit confused because all of the literature I have read puts the C6 at about 3200 lbs but when I looked at the car information on the door it gave the weight of teh car at 3700+ lbs. Can anyone clarify this? Thanks.
My 1SB coupe says 3678 on the door frame plate, including passengers & cargo. It also says passengers & cargo are not to exceed 423 lbs, so I'd say my 1SB coupe weighs 3255 lbs.
The specifications on chevrolet.com/corvette shows the curb weight to be:
Coupe: 3179 lb
Vert: 3199 lb
I think Curb Weight is no occupants but a full tank of gas (approximately 112 lb). The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is the maximum allowable total weight of the fully loaded vehicle, including all the passengers and anything you may be transporting (luggage, etc.)
My 1SB/NAV/6spd Coupe GVWR is 3720. That leaves 541 lb for 2 passengers and luggage. I think I can stay under that.
1SB is about 75lbs heavier than the 1SX? Makes not having the HUD a little easier to swallow.
I think the bulk of tha difference is the power sport seats and side air bags. Remember 1SX is manual seats, and side air bags. I have 1SA, no NAV, no CD changer, no Homelink. I would guess it weighs close to the 1SB. There may be more weight differences in transmission type and suspension packages. In fact, Z51 may weigh more because of the added coolers and F55 may be more because of the electronics for the shocks.

Your SB with Nav weighed in at 3179......???? I thought that was the base SX model weight....

Mine shows 3698 including pass. and cargo not to exceed 423 lbs. It is a 1SB, Z51, nav, 6 speed.
No HUD, or any other options just the above 2 options.
Look at the plate on your door frame (or door, I forgot which) and see what the total weight is. Then subtract 423 mentioned on the other plate on the door (or door frame). Both of these plates are on the driver's side.
If the actual weight is that important to you just take the car to a competition alignment shop and have it "corner weighted". That will tell you exactly what YOUR car weighs and give you a % of front to rear and side to side balance.

That is what the GM site says about the weight. The only info I have is on the door plate which indicates 3720 GVWR.
There seems to be a lot of different numbers
SilverCoupe's shows 3678
Brett Hunter shows 3698 which is 42 lbs less then mine - same options (1SB, NAV, 6 spd, Z51)
