So Jay Leno stops by one of the local So. Cal. hangouts with his $440,000 Porshe Carrera GT. He sits down for lunch and we talk about his cars and bikes but when we get to the Corvette he lights right up and tells about how he has a special C6 from GM, and that he "does some work" for GM and we talk about the new Z06. It's not news to everybody but he really likes the Vettes. That's pretty cool for a guy that has just about every car ever made.

Thanx,
Russ
I hear stories about how people see Jay on a regular basis out and about in CA, it amazes me that he does not get swamped by picture guys and autograph hounds that he can still go and drive around and act like a normal person. I am sure he is great guy.
The weekend before last he showed up at one of the local, once a month, car shows driving his "blastolene" (look it up on the 'net). He and the car were surrounded.
I can say is he was pretty funny that night. He gave out the awards for the evening. When he got to "best looking scion" he just stopped and said, "Is there such a thing?". I about spit out my drink. He had a few more too. He's a good guy.
If you're talking about this past Saturday, I was one of the many there drooling over his Carrera GT! A group of us on V-Rods had to let him pass us going down the mountain. He quickly left us in his dust. He was FLYING! Very cool to see!
Good to hear he's also a Vette man!!! Can't wait to see his special C6!
At Motorsport Ranch in Ft. Worth a few months ago I did a Driver's Edge event and there was a man and woman that had two Carrera GT's. I ask someone about the cars and I was told they cost over $400,000.00 a copy! A black one and a yellow one.

Yes he can be seen around town almost every Saturday. He has over 70 cars and drives everyone of them. This can mean he has to drive several on a Saturday.
Hi Z06 is Yellow and has Fiske wheels. Great looking. The fender emblem says "Z06 524 h.p." I have never seen him driving it, but some of the guys that work for me have.
It would be a hard choice to walk into the garage, past the Contoshe, to the Vette(s), which are parked right across from the McClaren F1 and the Viper, and have to decide what you are going to drive.
Colin Powell gave a speech at the College I work at last month. I wanted to ask him how he liked his C6 and how he feels about driving the Pace car at the Indy 500 this year but there was so much security around him we could not get near him.

He is a normal person, who happens to have a little tv show.
