Fuel Sys. sensor
05 had 690 miles on car and Fuel Sys. sensor started to came on took back to dealer and was told it would be all day job. No problem.
1st told it would take 10 days to 2 weeks to get part (chip) then later in day was called saying that they found a chip at another dealer.
(luck was changing for the better). Brought in at 8:00 and told it would be ready later that day.....Got call later that day stating they had trouble with a line but would be ready next morning, something about replacing exhaust and retorqueing some frame bolts...next morning got call all was ready just for a test drive...called back 2 hours later all was OK. come to pick it up. (now luck changes again)
2 hours later arrived at dealer to find everyone standing around trying to figure out why the car would not start. Problem came about when they were going to take it for a wash. Had to leave car again.
They stated they were going to drop the fuel tank again...might be bad gas...
Might be just my luck...my last new vette was a 68 that was in the shop twice for short block replacement. Only thing good about was the charge for oil replacement was only $3.94.
Before that had a 62FI and the only thing that I remember was a ticket for going faster in reverse then most people go forward....
Good luck to all and KEEP WAVING !!!!
My car has been in the for the past 6 days with them trying to figure out how to fix the A/C which works only intermittently. I toyed with the idea of having them address the FSU while it was in there, but I'd like to get my car back sometime before the end of May.
They still don't know how to fix my A/C. What a crock!
I feel your pain.
I keep saying the Corvette should be sold and serviced at the Caddy dealerships, but no one is listening

Who knows what tomorrow will bring????
PS. Was looking thru some old car window stickers that I had owned, couldn't find anything on the 62 but the window sticker on the 68 427 tri-power convert was a whopping $5,300 total. Boy how things have changed..........

Got in a bit of a argument with service when I asked for the part # of the chip he was installing. Comes out that he's installing 10310028 the one from 2004 instead of 88967316 which is the one that is the replacement. He's stating the old number is now superceding the new.
Checked with another dealer and he dosen't know anything about the old number superceding the new. Don't know which way to turn !!!!
