Dumb Question
Is the plastic thingy cover over the Air Filter important? Mine is loose as h*ll, and rattles. I think it's to keep water out of the filter, but I've had Blackwings on all my C5s without any problems. I'm a fixin to take it off if it's OK

It's certainly not sealed, but with the cover gone will the filters stay in place well? Mine got pulled off the first week for a BPP blackwing type setup.
