Default Steering wheel not round

I have had my C6 for 6 months now and I just noticed that the steering wheel is actually not round. It's egg shaped. I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier. Does anyone have a round steering wheel??

Also has anyone else had clearcoat start to peel off. Mine is peeling from the rear panel.

Thanks

Are you sure that the clearcoat is peeling? I had several small pieces of the plastic transeal used during shipping still stuck to the car after delivery. I didn't find it all until after a couple of washes.

I didn't notice that it is not round. But I did notice it is too BIG. Figured that out before I left the dealership parking lot on the test drive. Its my #1 complaint about the car.

I agree. The 05 wheel does NOT fit the car. To me it's something I'd expect to find on a Suburban. Oh well... They are changing it to a much better wheel in 06 (at least I think so from the pictures).

I don't think my steering wheel is too big - in fact, I wish it was bigger. I also wish my DIC was bigger - oh, wait a minute ...

Hmm, my DIC size is just fine, maybe yours needs some adjustment?

I am guessing that no one has a round steering wheel since there are no Round responces. And I thought I was special with the egg shaped steering wheel.

The steering wheels on most cars are slightly oval and/or flat on the bottom to give your legs more clearance.
