Default Inside the C6 Vert

To make a long thread short, does anyone have pics of the inside of a C6 vert with the top up, or can anyone tell me how exposed all the latches and everything are? Thanks.

I test drove a 350Z convertible the other day. One thing I noticed about the Z convertible that I didn't like was how exposed all the latches and everything were. I've been in a Sebring convertible and most of those mechanics were covered by some fabric.

Edit: OR, vert owners, just tell me what you think of the convertible top from the inside.

I've only sat in one, and I didn't operate the top, but for what it's worth, the overhead latches were quite visible, and my first impression was very favorable, especially at the good visibility -- same as the coupe front and sides, better to the rear.

My top has only been up two times - when I was washing the car but the latch blend into the header and is not at all noticible. 700 miles 0 with the top up.

Thanks.

Visibility too, for everyone else, how is it? In the Z, I basically couldn't see out the left side at all.

There's only one latch which is in the center above the rear view mirror; my opinion is it's not noticeable at all: abviously the color blends in but more importantly the latch is recessed recessed.

As for visibility with the top up: 2500 miles and only afew with the top up; visibility was "impaired" but realisitically I'm comparing it to no top at all.

I just traded in a 350Z convertible that I had for a year. Absolutely loved the car, just needed more hp and sex appeal. BUT, there is only one LATCH in the 350Z vert, right above rearview mirror, very unobtrusive. There are no other latches, unless you're referring to the hinges and pivot points, it's pretty much a standard cloth top.

Now, as for the visiblility, when the top is up it suks, gotta use those side mirrors wisely. I imagine the Vette top up will have the same visiblity problems, but I doubt if I'll ever have it up enough to worry about it.

The convertible is awesome. The power top is cool to watch and works amazingly well. Driving with the top up isn't bad at all. It is amazingly quite and doesn't feel cramped inside. The visibility is pretty darned good too. Looking to the right you can see everything, there is a small blind spot looking to the left so be carefull when switching lanes. Other than that the inside of it is very well manufactured and would highly recommend it.

It recedes very well into the top itself. It's not an issue.

After reading this thread, I went into the garage and took these shots. The only latch visible is in the middle of, and flush with the header. I've been driving verts for a long time. Currently have 2 vette verts and do not think that visibility is an issue. Obviously, it's what you get accustomed to.
