Default vertboot sticks

got my vert very end of april, so really haven't had a chance to put the top down too much. had it down all day monday came home ready to put the top up before pulling into the garage when i pushed the button to release the cover over the folded top it wouldn't release. first i thought maybe i hadn't put it in reverse and that was preventing it from working. then i thought maybe the trunk wasn't closed all the way since i had gone shopping and put some junk in it. all of the above seemed ok. i finally just opened the trunk grabbed the folded top jiggled it then closed the trunk. it still wouldn't work.so i figured the best thing to do was just walk away before i ripped the stupid cover off. a minute or 2 later i tried it again and it worked just fine any ideas? this wasa the second time the cover wouldn't open then did.i'm confused

This is why you get the power top. I saw the same thing happen to a manual top at the dealer. I wasn't too impressed with that. It was brand new too.

Default trunk

i have had that happen and it was the trunk, slightly ajar. since you opened and than closed the trunk and it worked, good chance your problem was the same. i have not had it happen again since.
