Default Finally - New C6

I finally pulled the trigger on my first vette. Machine Silver vert, 1SB, Auto(wife), MSRC! I am waiting for production week confirmation.

A few questions.(All probably answered elsewhere)

What Now? My first vette!
1. Recommended car cover.
2. Cleaner, Wax , Polish, Interior care.
3. Break-In advice
4. Front Plate bracket(required in MN) Other Options?
5. Any other goodies?

Thanks All!

Car covers are what you want to spend. Easy on the first 500 miles, no punching it and never stay at one constant speed. Clay bar and 2 coats of Zaino asap after getting car. Color match door handles/rear tail light diffuser. Chrome wheels from WCC, chrome side vent screens, "NO" front license plate frame (take your chances, it's only a fix it ticket), chrome letter inserts for rearend, rear chrome license plate holder, Lloyd's front and rear mats (ebony, not black if you have ebony interior), Corsa Sport Quads exhaust, polished stainless steel door sills, chrome sensor stems with chrome tire stem caps with logo and "RED" calipers (do it yourself=$15 or have someone powder them for you (cost ?)or WCC powder coated for $400 w/exchange).

If you have extra money, Paula's painted engine hood heat shield, painted red engine fuel rails (just like the ZO-6). Don't screw with the sun visors, the odds of you screwing them up is "HIGH!"

Everything above is what I did with mine with the exception of the hood painting and fuel rails. The "wife factor" is a hard one to convince!

Good luck with it and don't forget to wave at "ALL" 'vettes!!!

1. use a garage, no car cover needed
2. Zaino, Zaino, Zaino, Zaino
3. first 500-1000 miles take it easy on her. if you really put the pedal to the medal, it will run rich on you. after that, let her rip
4. i wouldnt mount a front plate even if it WERE necessary in my state. EIW
5. headers, new exhaust, tinted windows, and some other misc. interior goodies if you wish

good luck and have fun

You can't park in a garage all the time. Weather Shield car cover.

Clay Bar, then Meguiar's NXT or Mother's Reflections

Front plate not as bad as so many seem to believe.....you gotta put two holes in the front bumber and use pop rivets, but...........if you gotta have a front plate.............it's not bad.
