Default Psychedelic Gauges!

Are any of you experiencing a rainbow of colors on your radio and temperature control guage displays...almost to the extent that you can't read the numbers? Mine almost looks like the display of a cell phone after it has been trashed. Very 60's but somewhat annoying for a guy with less than perfect eye sight. Do I complain to the dealer or is this "normal"? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I've only noticed this while wearing polarized sunglasses.

Yup, mine appears that way too. Doesn't bother me ... either sunglasses do it like ^ said, or I didn't wipe of the cleaner well enough.

Get just a hint of it once in awhile without the polarized sunglasses. Not enough to bother me. Have seen something similar on the back glass on all Fords for the last 25-30 years while wearing polarized sunglasses.

I am glad I read this thread. I noticed this situation today for the first time. I would have never thought it was the sunglasses. I can sleep good tonight!!!!

I have the same thing on mine and I can see it without wearing sunglasses. It is very pronounced too! I was kind of worried that there is something wrong. Does anyone else have this effect WITHOUT looking through sunglasses?

I see it without glasses, but I only notice it when the car is off. Not cool for a $50k car, but it's minor enough that I don't care.

Mine does it without sunglasses. In fact all the cars I test drove did it without sunglasses. Doesnt seem to hurt anything and it goes away when it warms up so I dont care.

Same here (on temp gauge). I can live with it now but if it gets worse I'll bring it back to the dealer.

Thanks for the responses. Mine is pretty bad and there all of the time. I think I'll talk to the dealer...it actually interferes with some of the display captions. Kool but not WAY kool? Thanks again.

I've actually been thinking of buying a pair of nonpolarized sunglasses, b/c I can't read the dash well at all with the polarized glasses. Esp the HUD and nav.
