Default Ordering an 06 C6

I have decided to wait for the 06. I could use some info
1 When ill GM start taking orders or can I get on a list now
2 Any idea what the increase in base price will be
3 The cahnges I have found on this site appear to be very few
4 Do you really believe GM mods as they year progresses? It worries me that they may plan to incorporate several improvements for the 06 at once as their track record is not very good on the first pass
% Any other advice will be appreciated

1 Watch Ken's Newsletters...the last date he showed for orders accepted by GM was July 28. I expect you can get on a list now, and not a bad idea...dealers will need to submit their needs (consense allocations) earlier in July.

2 Nobody will know pricing until probably September. You can make a order contract on the basis of difference from MSRP or dealer invoice. You are in effect saying you will accept the increase over 2005 prices if there is any.

3 Except for the six speed auto, and a few other minor improvements, the car will be the same as the 2005.

4 GM makes running changes to fix problems, for example the crank bolt problem; but, not necessarily to make improvements. The only change that may have higher risk is the six speed auto.

As I recall the changes, they were a smaller steering wheel, hiding the XM antannae in the outside mirrors, and upgrading the clutch to avoid the "stick-to-the-floor" syndrome. There are also two new colors, Velocity Yellow and Monterey Red, both of which will debut on the latest 05 C6's. Of course we assume that most of the little glitches of the early 05's are pretty much already fixed.

I doubt that there will be as many glitches on the 06 because they have already been fixed and the A6 is probably the only major change, assuming that it will, indeed, be available.

Besides the XM antenna in the mirror, the Navigation may finally play MP3. Chrome wheels will be an option. The coupe and vert will have the new 3 spoke wheel as shown on the Z06.

And last, but certainly not least, the small GM badge in front of the rear wheel !

What is the source of this information? Haven't yet heard this, but it sure would be nice if they indeed upgrade the clutch.
