Default Billet grill?

I really like the billet grill at WCC. I was wondering if it would cause too much air flow restriction?

With the intent of painting it black or comp grey, I bought the $79 one from ebay...actually looks like it fits better than the WCC one. Pics at http://photos.yahoo.com/ronneyfountain. The weird brown dots in the pics are a result of a camera needing replacement. The finish is surprisingly good...especially for $80.

I have not noticed an increase in temp with it on...I run around 210-215 on 98 degree days...the fans may cycle on more, but I haven't paid much attention. Plus, I am putting on a cooler thermostat with headers and tune in a couple weeks.

I think if you were putting on a ram air intake setup, you might see negative breathing effects with it because the bottom feeders would not get to the intake and the front feeder (primarily for the radiator) would be blocked. I put on a blackwing type intake, so no problems getting roughly the same amount of air.

Thanks...now I just gotta get off my lazy *** and paint the grill I've been meaning to paint for 2 weeks! Trying to keep it stealth fighter themed!

I have decided to pick up another one though...little brighter...maybe VR or Yellow. We'll see how the dealers are in a few months on getting rid of the '05s...if no good deal, just get an '06...oh yeah, 6 spd on this one!

Here are pics of my billet grille from Zip Products. I have not noticed any difference in water temperature.
