Bullets Question - X pipe..does it REALLY help?

someone please tell me exactly how the x pipe helps and improves the bullet exhaust system. does it chill it out a bit? does it really help reduce cabin noise? or any of the other things it is claimed to do? i have about 30 minutes to make up my mind if i am adding the x pipe to the install today or not. PLEASE HELP!!!!

jut eliminates the dounshift pop / burble
