bullets are on...
bullets = $hit eating grins of happiness!!!!!!!!!
for those who have been scared away by the countless number of posts about how the bullets are "too loud", i offer you this: hear them before you toss them out of the decision set. they are aggresive, yes, but nothing short of incredible and couldnt be a more perfect match for this car. and they are definitely NOT too loud.

OK, but please be honest, can you hear the radio, and more important, would you be able to have a conversation with your pasenger without screaming. I know you will be able to hear it as you are driving, and i want a louder exhaust, but will it be hard to "talk" with a date as you are going out.
Anyone put them on at home (on jack stands). On the C5, you had to get the car really high to get the stock system off without cutting it. I"m wondering if the C6 is the same (it appears to be). How high do you have to get it?
Me and my buddies but them on at home with jack stands. We tried to do it without loosening the midpipe from the cats but had to in the end to get the old mufflers out. After that, smooth sailing In my opinion they are never to loud when driving around town. I can here both my radio and passengers even with the windows down. BUt like everyone else says at highway speeds it is kind of annoying. But its a price im more than willing to pay.

can speak for the vert, as i have a coupe. but i drove home 98 highway miles from richmond to fairfax yesterday with the top on and windows up and i could hear both my stereo and cell phone rings perfectly. while on the cell phone i had no issues at all. there is a dull droning that just kind of blends into the background and i am not so sure why it bothers everyone...seriously, go buy a lexus you
yeah, that's right...
later last evening, i was out with the SO and we were cruising top off and windows down (city driving) back and forth between 1st and 4th gears, and although the thunder is quite obviously there, it does not interfere with conversation or radio enjoyment. at least, it doesnt affect my sub 30 year old hearing. now, all bets are off if you're getting on it and bouncing the rev limiter from stop light to stop light. but for mild driving...these things just arent that bad man. most of my friends were expecting something much much louder.
Another point for the bullets! Someone likes them, someone else hates them, and that guy loves them, but this guy hates them. It's driving me
I really gotta go hear these. Glad you like them!
i will work on it. all i have is my old Sony Hi-8 camcorder. so it will have to be a video clip also...and i will have to have someone host it for me.
i know, i am so needy
honestly, daytona's sound clip is pretty right on, and the sound clip they have on the BB site is pretty good too.
anyone in the Wash/DC metro area is welcome to come and take a listen anytime. just email me
Thanks. Anything you could put together would be great.
If you find that you're able to post a clip, I'd personally find a lot of value in a sequence that would include:
- Start-up (from outside the car)
- A few seconds of idling (from outside)
- Acceleration and cruising from inside, perhaps with top on / up and windows down. (Maybe a video camera on the center console, facing backward to reduce wind noise?)
I'd gladly pay you for a videotape and your trouble if you'd be willing to shoot a minute or two of video and mail it to me. (The only thing is, I don't have any way of playing back Hi-8.)
had 'Zip' vette performance in Richmond put them on. Great guys and outstanding work!!!!! STUPID Ask for Rick if you go with Zip.
Just curious. How much did Zip charge for the install? I live 2 blocks from them and might be considering changing out the exhaust system (probably go with the borla stingers though). Did you purchase the exhaust from them?

they had BBs and Corsa exhausts in stock, so all i had to do was show up with my car, and about an hour later..VOILA!!!!! the blue fire breathing C6 dragon roared to life! took it for a quick spin and rolled back for a quick re-torque and i was gone...
my install was rolled into the total cost...so i am not sure what portion of the cost was the pipes or the labor, but it all came to $940 out the door. i dont think there was any special promotion going on or anything, these guys just aim to be competitive.

bullets rock!
Well cheeseboy, thanks for the response, thats great, "go buy a lexus", simple question about the possibility of conversation with bullets, and we get hillbilly boy mindset. even inspite of your rudness, your response was what I needed. They rock when you get on it and mild driving not that bad. Can't wait for mine!
