Bose Speakers

Can I replace the regular speakers and use the Bose?
If yes, easy instalation? Same connectors?

I don't think they are, dude. Anyone know who makes the stock stereo and speakers?

Why would you want to use Bose? There are many speakers out there that will flat out perform for much less money. Go to the FAQ sticky and find speaker replacement.

If you have the 1SB package, the description of the sound system sounds like ONLY the speakers and their system is Bose. The head unit is probably made by another supplier. This from Chevrolet.com specifications:

Sound system, AM/FM stereo with six-disc, in-dash CD changer, MP3 playback, Bose premium seven-speaker system, includes Radio Data System (RDS),(1) seek-scan, digital clock, auto tone control, automatic volume and TheftLock.

If you have the 1SA package, then the speakers ARE NOT Bose.

Do yourself a favor Schwartzbart1...take TedG's advice. He's already done this and has gotten good results.

I didn't find anything in the FAQ about speaker replacement for the C6.

Use EclipseSE8233s in doors. Use Eclipse SE8353s in rear. Subs can't be replaced with another 10" woofer unless you want to spend $500 a piece for them.

Thank you. That means that the replacements fit into the C6 and that the regular speakers are the same size than the Bose or other one.

Yes they sell the speakers for the C5. I haven't seen Bose speakers for the C6.

Bad choice to go with Bose

Most of us are getting rid of the very poor Bose speakers. If you are worried about the connectors (the only justifiable reason I can come up with) then there are GM style adaptors you can buy cheaply.

I don't think you are understanding the help others are trying to offer you. The Bose speakers are horrible and I want to replace mine as soon as I can find someone I trust to work on my car. The problem is that most people here in Germany have never even seen a C6. I would like to do the Eclipse switch myself and may even consider those $500 subs mentioned if need be, because I have a convertible (power top=even less space) and the doors seem to be the only like ly replacement location.

TedG do you know if the rear speakers are the same for the convertibles as your swap with the coupe?
