Orange peel
I just saw the worst case of orange peel I have ever seen on a new black XLR. That was one of the first things I noticed about the car. So anyone who thinks their C6 has a bad case of orange peel should see this car. I'm sure no ones C6 is as bad as this XLR.

I've noticed orange peel on almost every car I've ever been around. I wish I had pics of the black MB SL55 that I was looking at over the weekend. It was worse then my GT.

It's enough to make me consider having the entire car repainted, and that's just not right.

You can probably fix most of it with a good wet sanding. Worst case would be require a new coat of clear coat after the sanding.
Check with your local custom painter.
Cheers,

Guess I lucked out, because my black vert has probably one of the best dark finishes I've ever owned. If I were in your shoes, I'd be pissed, a bad paint job just ruins the whole ownership process. Everytime you look at the car, the blood starts to boil. I'd push to get the problem corrected sooner verses later. Don't wait on them...

My Victory Red vert has some pretty bad orange peel . I didn't know what orange peel was until I joined the forum . It's so noticable that I recognized it right away but to the average person doesn't really know what to look for .Have a friend who is a big Porsche guy who asked me if I'd seen the defect in my paint ? I was embarrassed by that .I'm pretty much just ignoring it at this time .It's really sad that you have to put up with that quality of workmanship on a car that expensive .

Almost every car has some degree of orange peel. It's just a question of how bad. I've seen a lot of high end cars ( Mercedes, Porsche, Lexus, BMW, etc.) with some pretty bad orange peel.
