Default Need Help

Took car to dealer on May 24th with (service fuel system) problem. They ordered part to fix problem. Received part on June 1st and took car back to dealer for repair. On June 2nd dealer told me another part broke when they were working on the car. Had to order part and it was on back order. It is now June 13 and still don't have the part.
Is there anybody I can contact to do something about this problem. The dealer said they are doing everything they can but the car is still sitting on their rack.

What is the part they need? Have you expressed your concern for an ETA to the service manager rather than the service writer?

A lot of people on this board are having the FSU issue, including myself. One week after taking my vehicle in, they call today to say they have the part(s) in, although I'm still waiting to hear if they have the new part or the 2004 part. I was a little surprised, and told them so, that it only took one week to get the part in. They explained that they used some technique to get it faster (basically told whoever they order from that they had a dead vette at the shop which apparently got the part in quicker). I'd tell your dealer to use that route.

As an aside, do you know what part they broke? Was it the hose between tanks? I'd like to know this prior to them working on my vechicle so they can get that ordered as well in case the same thing happens to me. Thanks.

The part they broke was a fitting on the front of the transmission shaft. This part is located just behind the clutch. I talked to them today and was told they didn't know if the part was available or when it was to be shipped. I can't believe GM does not have parts for a new Vett.

I assume they broke that part cause they felt they had to drop the tranny. From other threads, I've read this doesn't need to be done - simply remove the left rear tire and inner fenderwall, then drop the left tank. I've told me dealership this so that hopefully, I won't run into the same issue. I'm scheduled to go in next Tuesday and leave it for a couple days. Thanks.
