Default Need help on C6 audio install

I am trying to get a new Eclipse AVN-5435 installed and up to the point where we turned it on, all was well. When we turned it on for the first time, we got no audio out, but the system did power up and did not throw any instant DIC messages. My installer had tried an adaptor for an 04 GM system and thought it would work, same adaptor worked on a 2005 Tahoe, don't know what radio it had. They are going to overnight 6 or so various adaptors to see of one of them works.

I am just wondering if anyone can shed any light on our dilemma? I have the 1SB radio, 6CD changer, XM and no Onstar Blose system.

Here's hoping?!

PS Yes I am changing out the speakers and disconnected the center speaker.

both PAC and Metra claim that they haven't built a harness for the C6 yet. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1110154

There is no Digital interface ready yet, I had the Pioneer system installed Friday with the same problem, we called the dealer and they said end of July or August before it's available. I ask them to install XM in the ask tray until the interface was ready.

So when you say the Digital Interface isn't ready, then you are saying that the radio is a pure digital radio with NO analog outputs? Pretty advanced, especially for a system that doesn't perform any better than this one does. I find this a little hard to believe but thanks for the input.

Well I might be able to help you ... -- I have just recently installed this same radio into a new C6 --

We have done tons of the Old C5 platform and this was our first C6 - What a nightmare ..

Well to start - The woofers in the doors are Mono Amplified 10" subs - the 4" are run off the amp in the passenger footwell Stereo - as well as the rear Mono 5 1/4's and Center Channel -

There is an amplified Antenna system in the rear bumper -

There is NO Double din dashkit for this car either .. I had to heavily modify the Single Din + pocket kit to get it in there - Came out Sweet !

As far as the sound issue - I tried Several differnt adaptors .. SoundGate - Pie - PAC - None seems to work all that well ...

All the speakers in this car were replaced -

In the front - 6" midbass - 4" mid - 1" softdone tweeter .... All behind the factory panels -

In the rear - 5.25" mid only for rear fill ..

Pass Rear storage compartment - 8" woofer

This system was amplified with Alpine's new 75 x 4 amp for the fronts and the new Alpine 600w mono for the woofer-

This system soundz incredible - And vertually looks stock. the amps hidden behind the seats on the wall .. everything else behind stock panels..

I have spent countless hours on the R&D of this car .. If anyone has more questions please contact me -

I am in the Chicago Area and currently am working on a '79 - '80 - '89 - as well ..

Stop in to see how I can help get that car to sound as good as it looks -

The antenna enable signal, white wire, must be active for the amp to power up. The amp mute signal, org/grn wire, must be inactive for the amp to work. These come from pins B3 and B6 respectively on the stock HU, and go to B11 and B1 respectively on the amp (U65) or A3 and A8 (U66). If either of these are missing or wrong with the Eclipse HU hook up, there'll be no sound.
