I'm one of the folks that do like the Nav. I really enjoy it and think it's a good product.
All that said, I think it would be cool to occasionally just have it display the vette flags. I've bumbled around with the buttons and haven't found anything, as well as flipped through the manuals....even the service ones I got.
So, last night I dorked out and stalled the car at a light.. 1:00 in the morning, the roads all empty. In an effort to hopefully get it going without anyone observing the faux pau, I hurried. Guess what? The flags were on display for the rest of the ride home.
Any other way to get them to display would be appreciated....
But, when I first picked up my car, the dealer hadn't installed the DVD in the nav. As long as I didn't push any buttons, the flags were displayed. My guess is that you can't just take out the DVD again and have that work, but....
Hit the **** to turn off the audio system. The flags will appear. No sound or navigation though.
I agree though it would be nice if you are not using Navigation to just have the flags on all the time rather than the radio interface. Even cooler if they would let you upload an image in place of the flags such as your car. Not an option now though.

when I'm on the nav screen and push in the power button it just turns off the audio but the nav is still on...do you need to use the hard key to switch the source to audio in order to get the flags then? I don't follow...sorry.
