Default Car won't start!!

3500 miles, plenty of gas (added some in case of faulty gauge), plenty of cranking power, stater sounds fine. Any special instructions when they tow the beast away? First problem of tranny oil leak was resolved after two visits to dealer (told 2 piece tranny seal leaked???)

Check the connector for the fuel pump sending unit. Someone else had the same problem and it wasn't plugged in all the way.

Crank no start is likely a no fuel pressure problem Check the schrader valve on the fuel rail for fuel pressure. If fuel doesn't squirt out when you depress the valve, suspect the fuel pump wiring. There's a plug that sometimes wasn't fully seated at the factory which lets in moisture and road crud. The contacts corrode, and you get the symptoms you describe. There are 3 such connectors, the one near the battery seems to be the most common culprit. Unplug, clean, and reseat. Car should start. If not, check the other connectors.

If you have fuel pressure, then you may have an ECM problem. Since there are 8 separate coil packs, the odds of all of them failing at once are slight. The only common element in the ignition system is the ECM, which sends commands to each plug to fire. Testing the ECM is a dealer job.

As to special instructions for towing, first, flatbed only. Don't let them use a boom truck. Second, you may need some planks to get the front on the flatbed without excessively dragging the front spoiler. Third, make sure the driver knows how to hook up the cable without bearing on the lower front bumper valence. Fourth, have him use the 4 body jacking points to boom the car down to the flatbed. Don't let him chain down the suspension members. They're aluminum, and can be damaged.

After telling Chevy numerous times to send a flatbed to pick up the car, they replied "we always do on Corvettes", a boom truck arrived. Did not let them take car. It was picked up the next day. Dealer said the car starts every time??? Not able to find any problems. Now I get to worry evertime my wife or I turn off the car while traveling!!!
Also very difficult to have them check alignment at 3500 miles with no symptoms. After pointing out several inadequacies in service department, they agreed to check alignment, and found it to be way off.
