"My wait is almost over!"
As I get into the final countdown 'til my Corvette finally arrives I thought it only appropriate to thank all of our fellow C6 Form members for helping to ease the angst of waiting. It's been a rough road since ordering on April 15th. Like many, I'm sure, I've found it very tough to focus on much else. After spending 6 weeks at 1100 status, I finally reached 4200 (car shipped) last week Thursday. I was hoping that I'd beat the odds just a little and have it arrive at my dealer in northern CA in time to pick it up today but that didn't happen. Still, I expect it to arrive in the next few days in time to bring it home Friday night.
Ladies and gentlemen of this forum, you've been great and I know it will only get better once I actually have my C6. Thanks a bunch for helping me maintain a level of sanity these past months!
I'll keep you posted. Hopefully, this coming Friday will be the big night.
BTW, I'm in my early 50s, this is my first ever Corvette, my first American car in 18 years, and my first manual tranny in 20 years. To say I'm just a little excited is putting it mildly.
One final BTW - once I have my Corvette, the camel in my avatar becomes history!
