Ken's newsletters? The last few have said that dealers will be able to submit 2006 coupe and vert orders July 28th. That's two weeks from now, so why is the ordering guide not released yet?

So, are you saying that Ken's newsletter is wrong?...That they are not going to accept orders July 28th?...they won't release the order guide until July 27th?

Because you can't order for another two weeks.

I understand that, and sure most of us forum members have a good idea of what the changes are going to be for '06. So we should have a pretty good idea of what we are going to do, but how about the guy who is not a forum member (there are some) and has been waiting to order an '06?

I have had a deposit with a forum dealer for 5 months now, in order that I could get an early allocation and a fall museum delivery. I'd be willing to bet that there are some with deposits at dealers, who like I said aren't as informed as forum members and counting on the proverbial salesman for info...nothing like standing in the dark with money in your hand. Anyway, is it really that GM is so afraid that they will hurt terribly the '05 sales if they put official info out two weeks before ordering? Didn't work that way with the Z06, so I guess it must be!

Casey, my dealer reminded me just today...GM is on vacation until Monday.

The fact that nothing has happened for the last couple of weeks is not surprising...BUT...I wouldn't be surprised if things started moving real fast next week. Unless they are going to slip the July 28 date, things almost HAVE to start moving next week. Look for the order guide next week.

I was hoping that was what it might be.

They also announced pricing for the Z06 a lot earlier then normal. Usually that info doesn't come out until the first sold unites start to ship.

Default The one other thing...

that concerns ME is I'm wanting the Titanium interior and top with Monterey Red. If dealers can send in orders to the factory July28th, and I'm first on a Vert allocation, I was hoping they might have been sent swatches of each. I could have gone to my local dealer and seen it.

I guess I'm going to be ordering an exterior, interior, and top color I've never seen and at a price I have no idea what it will be...hoping they don't throw any last minute curve ***** on what options we've all been talking about for '06. Why doesn't GM respect loyalty like this more?
