My wife just got back from a morning ride in the C6. She came back really pissed off because she now feels that women who drive Corvettes do not wave. She passed a yellow C5 being driven by a woman, gave her a big wave and a smile, and got nothing but a blank stare in return. This is the third time she's gotten no response from women driving Corvettes. She's beginning to think that other women driving Corvettes are either oblivious, indifferent, or clueless when it comes to the wave.
So, Sandy asked me to post this and says, "Tell your wives and girlfriends who drive your cars that they should wave."
She's assuming that these waveless women did not own the cars they were driving, but I'm not convinced.

They're pretty much the only ones that wave and that's fine by me. Although I did get one of the most enthusiastic waves/pointing at the car yesterday as I was going south on PCH from a MY C5 vert going North.
I have seen 2 C6s and 1 C5 and waved and got nothing back.. One guy was too busy yapping on cell phone, without a headset. None of them looked over or anything....they had no idea. It is totally
I get waves from women vetters. There was a young lady in a red C5 that used to snub me whe I drove my old 69 to work. Same car... same girl... Now I get a big wave
I got a really big wave from a nice looking lady from a silver C6. She waved at me like a long lost friend and check out my C5 as well
However, I only got 1 wave back from man with C6 out of 6 or 7 C6's

Seems like most the women I see in Vettes are.....well not to be rude....elderly. Not sure why that makes a difference but it just seems they are not hip to the wave. Maybe it's because men don't normally wave to them or something.

My wife always waves, even when she is the passenger in my car - heck, i've even caught her waving when we have a rental car - talk about a habit.
No waves from women here. Maybe it's me! My wife says they won't way because they think you will think they are flirting. Oh well I will still wave to all vettes.
My wife knows to wave...but then, she's married to a 'vette fanatic! My guesstimate is that I get waves from about 1/2 the women 'vette drivers I see...
Just this morning on my way to work I pulled on the 805 and saw a red C6 in front. I cruised up and there was a women drivng. She waved as soon as I did and we drove next to eachother untill I exited the Interstate 15 minutes later. Made my morning.
