My roof panel is making a lot of squeaking noise. I tried to tighten the torx screws on the release handles but they are very tight. Didn't really want to bother bringing it to the dealer so I thought I'd check with the CF experts first. Anyone have some suggestions?
Silicone in the tube may be easier to use-Just put a little on a rag and wipe on both the gasket of the top and the car gasket-just a little. Use Dielectric Silicone-available any auto parts store-it's the same stuff we use on spark wires.
Or you can use 100 proof burbon-Just drink the burbon , and all noises disappear (J.F. 's idea not mine!!!)

If its like mine, it isn't necessarily the weatherstripping that is squeaking. It's internal to the top. In other words, the squeaking isn't coming from the edges, it is in the middle of the top. Best I can tell, the must have some styrofoam in between the headliner and the top. I think mine got jarred loose which is causing the squeaking.
So, does yours seem like it is squeaking at the edges where the weatherstripping is or more from the middle?
Also,
By chance, have you taken your car to the drag strip?
