This may have been posted previously, if you leave your blinker on for long a chime reminds you that its on. I like that, i find communication on the road is important. Too many times in north NJ people do not know how to use blinkers!
Yep, that's what the owner's manual says on page 3-9.
Turn Signal on Chime
A chime will remind you if you leave the turn signal on
for more than three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km) of driving.
If you need to leave the turn signal on for more than
three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km), turn off the signal and
then turn it back on.

I Love this car.
yes, it's helpful feature. i just wish they'd take a page from Harley's book. Harley's come with self-cancelling turn signals. the bike will automatically turn off the signal after x amount of distance at y speed or when a turn has been detected. imo it should be fairly easy to adapt to the c6. it already turns them off after a turn, due to the manual signal trip in the steering wheel. they already detect the signal has been on for awhile by sending the chime, so why not add a feature that will trigger the chime then 10 seconds later turn off the signal ?

That would just cause more automation and probably more problems. Then there would be hundreds of posts on here of people wanting to know how to turn it off because....well, I don't know, but you know they would try!
