I plan on going to Spring Mountain in Parumph, NV in October. Another forum member took the course this spring and LOVED it. He did a great job posting daily updates of the learning process. Nearly 300 miles of track work in both C5 Z06's and C6's

Can't wait!!
I am planning on doing this next summer, how much did it cost and how many days and is this near LV?
Come on down to Johnny O'Connell's Corvette at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC on September 17 & 18, 2005. If you want to learn how to handle your Corvette, you might as well learn from the best in the business Johnny O! I promise you, it's going to be an amazing event!
Please visit www.corvettecamp.com for more information.
If you don't know Johnny O, he is the lone American on the Corvette Racing team and one of the most experienced racing instructors in North America. His ability to instruct in a manner understood by everyone is truly a gift, if you want an example visit www.johnnyoconnell.com and check out the Driving Tips section... Probably the most information in the fewest words you'll ever read and FUNNY!

Good luck and have fun, be safe
I fly out. My mom lives there and I typically go to Vegas once or twice a year. I will drive from Vegas to Parumph for the training. I'm going to do the Level 1 for now
For the other guy's question, Parump is only about 1.5 hours northeast of Vegas. Not a bad drive at all. Check their website, cuz they don't offer summer classes (too hot is my guess).

I will most likely do the 10/10 - 10/12 class. My mom's b-day is 10/18 so it makes for a nice trip. I will know better the exact date the first week of August.
Im thinking of taking a"racing" driving course.
anyone taken these? opinions / reviews?
where did you go?
do you know any in the western new york area?
Skip Barber at Lime Rock is a nice school. Open wheeled Formula cars. ..very cool. Also check the Watkins Glen website to see if there will be any schools at the track. There are many preformance track days, but I think you are looking for something more serious.
Also a couple o years back I met Derek Bell. He lapped with me in my C5, and told me his son Justin was going to do a Corvette performance school. Dont know if he is still doing it, but you may want to check it out:

While not technically a racing course, I've taken the basic
and advanced courses at Bobby Ore's Motion Picture
Stunt Driving School and they are loads of fun, not to
mention instructive.
The difference between a true race school and Bobby's
school is that while a race school teaches you the best
way around a track, Bobby's school basically spends all
its time teaching you to drive cars which are out of control.
