ordering solid top

This has been covered many times here. The only way to get a painted top (other than buying a used one from someone) is to order all of the parts that make it up (my understanding is that there are over a dozen separate pieces), have the main panel painted, then assemble everything. It cannot be purchased as a completed assembly through the parts department.

Just a question, if for some reason someones top was damaged by vandilizim & it was un-repairable. How would the Insurance company or the body repair shop replace the top?

cliffhiker: I just purchased a painted top from my selling dealer, for my C6. As was said previously, they ordered all the parts, painted the top, assembled everything, and installed it on my car. Also checked it for any leaks while washing the car for me...it fit perfect. Price was $1168.00 out the door. Really glad to have it in the hot weather. It took about two weeks to get everything together.
