Could it be that the new MB was a diesel and the fumes were sucked into your open window. I suggest that you pick up a CO2 dectectorand install it in your car before you become more lucid
BTW...Most C6 owners use a pair of anvils mounted just behind the front "A" arms to prevent lifting the front wheels when accelerating. This mod will affect handling but most find it a good compromise for street use.
