My Dream ......
..... has come true. 
Tomorrow I'm trading my 04 GTO in for an 05 Victory Red coupe, 1SB, MN6, transparent roof, Z51, polished wheels and XM radio.
Ever since I was a 13 year old kid and we got a new neighbor that had a 71 Glenwood Green (I think that was the color) coupe with T tops and an LT1, I've been hooked. I've always considered owning a Vette to be the ultimate car purchase in my life. I'll never be able to afford a Viper, Ferrari, etc. so this is it. We had talked about keeping my GTO and buying a Mustang, but we have our daily drivers and a 3 car garage so one of them would have had to sit outside during the winter. Add on insurance for 4 cars vs. 3 and this was the way to go. Plus, I've always wanted one and the wife said get what you want to get.
Thanks to the guys at EVS Vettes for the $4000 discount. I probably could have waited another 6 months and got a little more off, but my trade in would probably have been less as well.
UPDATE
Drove it home yesterday. Long day of driving (about 800 miles round trip). My first impressions are: WOW, the shifter in this thing is amazing. Excellent power, a little noisier than the GTO, I'm assuming because of the hatchback. Ride is about the same as the GTO, except for really big bumps, those hurt. Did between 75 and 80 all the way with lots of slow downs for other traffic. Also drove some stop and go city streets for about the first 100 miles. Got 25.5 mpg, which is great. Stopped at a gas station and a Harley dude asked me what year it was. I told him and he said "that's purty!" Got lots of admiring looks in the neighborhood. My neighbor was outside when I drove up and said "So the GTO wasn't fast enough?"
Got it all cleaned up today, but am waiting for a little cooler day to do the Zaino treatment

A Corvette was my dream car all through my childhood. I am so thankful that I have been in a position to own Corvettes now. All through my life my friends always remember me saying "ooooh vette!" every time one would pass by.
