Default One great week

Today, Saturday, is the end of the first week that I have had my Machine Silver/Ebony 1SB, 6 speed coupe. I found the exact car that I wanted at a local dealer. It is everything and more that I had wanted. I have been staying under 55 like the book says and am completely babying this car. On Monday, I came across several older Vettes on the road and they all respectfully passed me. I'm sure that they knew that I was in the break in period. I have gotten more looks from other drivers than I ever thought that I would. I spent most of the last several days re-arranging the garage so that my wife can get her car in too. Quick question regarding the transparent roof and cleaning. Is there any particular product that members have had success with. I haven't bought the recommended GM cleaner. Thanks for all the great info on this site. It made the purchase easier.

microfiber towels and a light non abrasive cleaner, such as a qd is good.

Congrats on the new ride. You'll soon get to feel the real power of these C6's. After the break-in, I know you're going to love it even more. These cars are dangerously fast, and just wait till you try to wipe that grin off you face. I think mine is permanent. I really think I've gotten more wrinkles from all the grinning I've done since I got mine.
My transparent top requires only a good auto glass cleaner (I use armor-all auto glass cleaner sprayed onto one of the new steak-free paper towels). I usually have to do this after handling the top to get rid of finger prints.
Enjoy that new ride.

Actually I was referring to quick detail cleaners, several companies make them.
