Default C6 fuel guage problem

I am having a problem with my fuel guage readings. It either indicates the proper levels or it indicates that I have no fuel. It happens directly after fill-ups and slightly above half-a-tank. I am getting a "Check Engine" light and the DIC states "SERVICE FUEL SYSTEM". I understand that it is probably the fuel sensor in one of the fuel tanks. Is there any way to check the sensors without removing the tanks? Anyone else having or had this problem?

It's a known problem. The left tank will be removed to replace a card. Mine took 4 or 5 hours. Check FAQ's then take it to your dealer. They know what to do.

I had the same problem. My dealer took 10 days to fix this because, they didn't know how to do it and initially did not follow the procedure. My problem was with the right fuel tank sensor. There is a TSB about this. When I picked it up, the service guy said that they now know how to fix it and would be able to do it in about 4 hours next time.

Good luck and maybe your dealer will do it quicker than my experience.
