Tried to find the emergency tonneau release for my Vert. The manual says behind the passenger seat under the carpeting, but I could not locate it. Could someone give me a closer description that the manual had? Since I leave top down a lot and have had DBS twice now, this might be important!
Thanks
Thanks, I only did what the manual said. I only looked where it said.
This manual is screwed up. So many mistakes in it.+ in a lot of places what is there is hard to follow. The persons that authored this manual should be fired.

I can sympathize. I moved the carpet out, looked all over and found nothing. Then someone on this forum came to the rescue as usual. I'm really glad to be a part of this forum with so many knowledgeable people.

You are most welcome 6spd. Glad to help out as others have helped me with information on problems in the past as well a learning some great things about the C6 as well. That's what everyone is here for.
The manual states that the box for disengaging the pressure in the hydraulics is under the hood in front of the passanger seat. WRONG! It is actually under the carpet, behind the passenger seat, under the tonneau cover, on the side. There is an allan wrench velcroed to the box that loosens the screw, ( turn it 1/2 to 1 full turn and wait a couple of minutes. You can now manually operate the top.
