Sorry guys, GM will not install chrome wheels from the factory this year. I tried to order me a new 06 today and the option was gone. I called the DBC and was told not this year.
When they originally announced the Chrome Wheel Option, they said it would not be available until at least half way through the model year. Your dealer should have told you that before your order got held up!!!

Your better off. WCC's wheels look great and you will save around $1000.
Whats DBC? and are we talking about the basic wheels in chrome that have been offered for years?
The '05 C6 did not have chrome wheels as a GM option. You could have aftermarket chroming done to the stock wheels or buy reproduction chromed wheels. Even if you bought them from the dealer they are not GM chrome wheels. Don't try for warranty repair or replacement of a GM wheel thats been aftermarket chromed, GM doesn't want the liability and lawsuits that come from replacing bad wheels due to improper chroming.
No GM chrome wheels for the '05 C6 but lots of GM wheels and look alikes that are chromed.

Where do you get the High Polished.
IMO The polished wheels have at best a fair polish job and then after they are clear coated they look milky.
I was leanin toward the Polished whaeels until I stratd looking close. Now I think the standard wheel is the best way to go and add new wheels with the first set of tires.
