Default Cold air intake - will a bumper screen hurt or help?

There are a lot of venders making screens for the C6 now. I have a cold air intake and I'm wondering if I install a screen will it detract from the (apparent) advantages that I have from the CAI? I'm also thinking that the screen can help protect from water (a little). Thanks for your comments!

Theve, this could very well be. Particularly for the cold air intake. Although most screens are designed toa llow mass air in. With your cold air, you want as much as possible, some even remove the fog lamps and replace with screens. Michael

No, they actually make one for the stock C6 (check out PARTS FOR YOUR CAR www.pfyc.com) its about 60 bucks...

Might work on yours with no problems... And no, it will not affect the air...

Thanks for the responses. I guess that since the CAI is only benefiting from the colder air the "ram air" that I guess I was thinking of is not a factor. I'm thinking that some type of screen is a must do for many of the CAI systems AND perhaps the radiator too (after I saw all of the crap that was stuck in the top of my radiator).

Default You will need some type of screen to protect your radiator.
