Thanks. What are these for on a Vette? Surely people aren't off-roading with their cars.

Best mod I did as it relates to results. Great heat reduction and car is much more solid.

Is the 1/4" plate sufficent to maintain the stiffness of the original plate or should the 3/8" plate be used? I've already seen others post that either of the ceramic coated plates will reduce the console heat issue sufficently.

IS this the real Mayo posting or his little brother? I need details Dammit!!! As a member of CFOTTJA, you know I kid....I kid, I kid!
Mayo, my tube has experienced plenty of torsional rigidity this weekend...even had assistance in alleviating tension at certain "stress points"

Seriously, go for the 3/8' Ceramic coated Stainless Steel plate. period. You will love it. It is worth MORE than what Elite charges for it. My cabit heat has been reduced dramatically...IE, I can not longer make Quaker oatmeal in my cupholder, and the Pop-Tarts in my center console are cold and lifeless. Breakfast will never be the same.

I did notice a marked improvement in lateral rigidity and roll in the corners. I asked Elite if this was placebo, he said "no it actually does help! Big Time!!" he said that they have noted the improvement first-hand and have gotten plenty of comments from customers.

This is by far one of the best mods you can do to your C6...and you will never see it....after installation.
