I'm trying to decide which intake I should get but don't really know some of the differences between them. I'm kind of leery about going with lignenfelter because of the risk with the water. Haltech doesn't have this problem from the looks of it but doesn't have the performance of some of the other filters. Whats been your experience and what do you recomend?
Be very careful. I talked to a C5 ZO6 owner last week & he said he put on an after market air intake & his ZO6 began to kick out codes. He put the stock back on - NO CODES.

agree with everything said so far. but this car is really just shy of a true 400hp gross. an intake, while doing little for your butt dyno, would at least boost your hp enough to be able to say you have 400 horses, and mean it. not 392, or 389, or whatever everyone else seems to be getting on thier stock dyno runs.

I did the Callaway Honker..great!! Minor butt dyno increase, better throttle response...great thing to add if you've opened up your exhaust. let it inhale and fart at higher levels....just don't overdo it, or you'll lose out on torque.
Calloway Honker-a pain to install but oh, was it worth it. Very happy and satisfied so far; also put on the Corsa exhaust Sport and it really feels better; also planning on having it tuned and dyno'd set up this way. Thats supposed to help even more...
Not sure about the C6 but the Vararam gets good reviews on the C5 (pain to put on though) and it's a fight between Blackwing and Halltech for most of the other votes.
Halltech. Jim Hall is a great member of the automotive community that has a great product...plus he will share the number with you for the Stinger or whatever he makes. www.corvettec5.com used to be the website...
