Default XM wart replacement....

Does the XM antenna on the vert fit and work as a replacement for the black XM wart on the coupe?

You could use the convertable antenna assuming the wire was long enough or just paint the one U have. I think GM recommends not painting the antenna but am sure there have been forum members that have done so and not noticed any problems.

The one on the vert is painted and doesn't appear to stick up as high and has a little design to it. It not just a square box.

I would have to tend to agree with you...I will have to check with my body shop to see how much they would charge. They match perfectly and guarantees their paint work for five years.

I would also prefer the lower more aerodynamic profile/look of the vert XM antenna on my coupe, if anyone knows for sure if it is a direct swap out or what is involved to swap them out please post

Thanks

Default Paul on Trunk Lid Liner

Just an FYI here. Last weekend a C6 owner was showing off the Trunk Lid Liner that came on his 05 convertible. We looked at other C6' convertible at this get together and he was the only one whose car came with this liner. He has an xm radio with the wart on the trunk lid. If we have figured this out correctly, and this is a guess, It appears that Chevrolet is putting the Liner on the trunk lid to cover the xm wires coming thru the deck lid from the wart. If you have a 05 convertible can anyone confirm this. It appears xm gets the liner and no xm does not. Interesting ??? .

Sounds logical. There is definitely a wire going to the antenna.
