Must Read!!
Anyway, the dealer did nothing wrong, no matter how much you don't like them and no matter what anyone else says about cars being damaged at dealerships, each situation is applied to the auto ins. policy to "find" coverage for you, not deny it from you. Some of these wild loses are covered by mother nature and some loses are covered when a car is in the dealer's care, custody and control-usually if its in the shop and being worked on or road tested at the time.
It can get confusing but let the insurance company work it out; they ususally know what they're doing.
Good Luck
As most of you know hurricane katrina recently hit the Miami area. I had my 2003 BMW 745i at the dealer because the engine was displaying engine malfunction and would run very rough. On monday i got a call saying the car was ready. This morning i go to pick up the car and they say they cannot find it. 20 minutes later they say my car is one of the 36 cars that were flooded. i could not beleive it. The service rep comes and says that were are not liable to mother natures conditions. I could not beleive it. Waited 45 minutes for the service manager to come but had to leave because my son was late for school. So i get in the C6 that has 1600 miles and still no problems.
Thanks
