Default Is this reasonable......??????

Having recently driven a C6 for the first time, Ive decided that after I move back to Corpus Christi this comming January, Im going to put in an order for a new 2006 C6. I plan on ordering a 1sx coupe with the only options being the Z51 package with the Lemans Blue Paint. The MSRP on the car is somewhere between 46 and 47. Is it reasonable to think that I could get a forum dealer to order this car for me for 2K under MSRP???? Thanks for the help!!

Probably more like 1k now and maybe later in the year it could get closer to 2k. I ordered from Monica at Maxie price, you should send her an email.

Yea, I didnt figure I could get that now, but like I said, Im talking about a January 06 timeframe here. I was just curious, because all the dealers here in Va Beach still have a 9995 mark up on 2005s

I think that if gas keeps going up the way it has, Vettes are going to be a steal at any dealer; 05's & 06's.

If you can afford a 50k plus sports car you can afford an extra 10 dollars a week in gas. I dont think it will have an effect on Corvette sales in the slightest. Suvs?? most definately.

I think if you order from a dealer in the northeast/midwest during the winter months you can easily get $2K off sticker. Actually, I think you can get more than that. Vettes don't sell well when there's a lot of snow on the ground.

Very reasonable expectation. I ordered the same car in Black Oct, 04 and got that. Should be easier now. With some aggressive shopping you might get more.

Wait till say Nov or Dec when they are stacking up in dealers lots and tell them you'll take one for $5k off MSRP. You should have no problem at $4k off after negotiating.

you can do better then that now. I am glad that the forum dealers support the forum but if you ask around you can get better discounts even on an 06. I went to Colonial Chevy as well he is a real alpha hotel with his mark up and his ad in the paper that he is dealing ha. pm me and I will let you know about the deal and let you know the dealers name.

Colonial Chevrolet....are you in the Virginia Beach area as well, or are you talking about another Colonial Chevrolet? I went down there and they still had them marked 10 grand over sticker.....RK Chevrolet had them marked up, but the manager said he rarely gets that for them and said if I was serious, we could talk a little under sticker.

PS, the dealers in the VA area are the most laughable of all. Before I ordered my car, they had that was an exact match on the floor for about 5 months. They said "we can probably do $5k over sticker" to which I laughed uncontrollably till I hung up. All of them in coastal area there were smoking crack.
