Flashed.... Repeatedly!
aggravating as hell.... wondering if others are enjoying the same reception?

With the C6 I have had a couple of people flash their high beams at me. I just don't have time for it to bother me though. Probably wouldn't have thought of it had you not brought it up.
I responded sorry sir, my low beams are on, he had me flash my highs, show him my fog lights, and then let me go....
Seems like it was less of a problem if I had my fogs off. Getting ready to drive back to MA from NC tonight, not looking forward to it either. Maybe GM needs to think about self-adjusting hid's ? Would this fix the problem ?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I am soooo disappointed now.
C'mon, guys -- please be sensible:
I don't care if you are driving a 2006 Corvette with 12 miles on the clock, or a 1948 truck with 250K in milage, if you are having multiple drivers on multiple occasions flash their brights at you, you need to get you headlights checked out and probably adjusted!
When HIDs first came out, they were unusual and perhaps some folks just assumed the oncoming lights were high beams, but at this stage in the game, there are enough of these lighting systems out there that if you have a recurrent message being given to you, don't ignore it!
* Have you 'lowered' or otherwise altered the suspension?
* Is your car loaded unusually?
On the Porsche systems (Litronic), there are little motors that constantly try to readjust the lamps as you go over bumps or the car is loaded differently. Some people were upgrading only the light cartridge, but leaving the motor and control part out. Not good!
Be considerate of others who share the road.
And before anyone says anything...the only women I get to see for the next 10 months are in burkas so yes I want to see some good pics of vettes and babes!
He didn't wave, though, so I assume he was not a Corvette driver.
Haven't had a problem with the headlights though!
Flatbush Harry
Lots of corvette waves and thumbs up though
I have another story involving the word "flashed" but we need to open a more appropiate thread for that one
I don't drive the car that much at night (I find it's a lot more fun to drive it in the daylight hours), but when I do I get flashed usually once a trip. I find that if the Vette is going uphill and an oncoming car is going downhill, the light will be a little brighter on their end... I wouldn't change it, however, because I really like the light pattern and brightness of the HID's...
