BTW, interesting way to jack a car. Bring a weapon with you to the dealership; in this case a knife. Take a test drive with no ID. Put the knife to the salesman's throat and tell him to get out of the car. Perhaps that's why the perp had a knife with him? Buthcher knife makes sense in this scenario too because the blade is already exposed and no need to waste time opening a knife, fumbling with thumb studs, etc.
Reminds me of the kill scene in The Sopranos, when they killed his psychotic girlfriend who was a car salesman.
If the customer went in there with a butcher knife, there is a lot more to the story than just getting refused a test drive. He obviously had a premeditated reason for going in there armed and was just looking for an excuse.
I think it was Roko in the Chicago Tribune that said " The movie "The invasion of the Body Snatchers" was filmed in California and as far as I'm concerned it was a documentary".
Sounds like that guy was is obsessed than even we are. Probably needs a psychiatrist; clearly this guy was insane.
You want to figure him out? I want him punished with death. He is a barbaric animal masquerading as a human being and has no business walking free on this planet. My heartfelt condolonces to all the friends and family of this young man who lost his life for absolutly no good reason.
I am trying to be politically correct, he ( the accused) probably was just an illegal alien carrying a butcher knife & had no drivers lisense (illegal aliens not allowed drivers lisence) ........so the Liberals will say "IF" we give illegal aliens free drivers lisenses they will not kill car salesmen..................... ....only in the land of the free & brave...............the Dog
Unfortunately, you never know when some nut will want to hurt or kill you. Protect yourself.
Yup, I've got one of those li'l KelTeks as a B/U. Great ammo capacity in a small size. But, nothing beats a .45 (i.e. P90) for 'first call' IMHO, tho'.
No question there are bigger guns with more stopping power, and I own several of them. However, this .380 only weighs 10.5 ounces loaded with 7 rounds. It is made for protection at close range, and is very effective. Because it is so small and light, it doesn't get stuffed in a glove box or under the seat. You can carry it concealed no matter how you are dressed. The beauty is, you can always have it with you.

Mine's chambered in 9mm -- ten rounds in flush-bottomed staggered mag.
More ammo is just like more cubic inches....
and you are correct -- this is a close-in weapon only, but you can always have it with you for concealed carry. Some gooroo (Mayoob?) had it right when they said: "It doesn't do you any good if you don't have it when you need it"
my 38 never leaves home without me.....been held up twice..no more...it has been pulled twice in the last twenty years and saved my bacon from nutballs out there in so. cal ...
